Beaver and Otter drawing to trap

COLUMBUS — Trappers are invited to take part in drawings at 11 a.m. Oct. 13 to trap beaver and river otters on public land, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

A list of locations can be found at Wildohio.gov">Wildohio.gov under Controlled Hunting and Trapping Events.

Interested trappers are required to attend a drawing at one of the five wildlife district offices.

There is no fee to apply, but applicants must be present when drawn to be eligible. A valid 2018 hunting license and fur taker permit are required.
