Canadian lynx and prairie dogs don't need federal protection

The Canadian lynx and black-tailed prairie dog are both relatively common animals in their respective environments. While the lynx is never over-abundant in any particular location, its total population in a range that stretches from Quebec to Alaska and from the northern U.S. to the northern limits of the Boreal Forest means there are tens of thousands of these unique cats roaming around at any one time.
