Fur market in Russia may fall by 20-40 percent because of the warm weather that prevails in some regions of the country. This outcome was predicted by the industry, reports TASS.
“Warm winter, of course, affects the execution of seasonal plans,” — commented the President of “Snezhnaya Koroleva” Vugar Isaev. He added that in the fourth quarter of this year, the overall drop of sales in the market of furs and outerwear up to 25 percent. “We hope that with arrival to Russia this winter, the demand will return to last year’s level”, — said Isayev.
In the Russian fur Union (RFU), the Agency announced that the sale of fur in December 2019 fell by about 30-35 percent. Distributor of coats of the brand Braschi — Braschi Private Collection, in turn, believes that the market will fall by 40 percent. Industry representatives attributed the situation not only with weather but also with the General decline of purchasing power of the population.
Summer in Russia, on the contrary, it was colder than usual. Because of this increased demand for warm clothes, e.g. jackets, coats and leather jackets are 60-70 percent, and also pullovers, sweatshirts, hoodies and shoes — 40-50 percent.
